Walmart Late Policy In 2022

Walmart’s late policy relies on points. A Walmart associate will lose 1/2 of their point if they are more than 15 to 2 hours late to work on their shift. Associate who is more than half an hour late for their shift will be deducted 1/2 point. If they don’t show up, the associate receives 2 points. Walmart associates can earn a maximum of five points before being terminated.

What’s the Walmart Point System?

Walmart has a point system that is designed to encourage associates not to be tardy or absent unexpectedly.

In 2019, the maximum number of points an employee can receive was increased from 9 to 5. Now, if an associate receives five points, they face termination.

Associates who don’t show up on their designated shifts or as planned will lose one point.

Additionaly, those who work late might be eligible for half the point. However, unexpected absences may lead to a maximum of 3 points.

Walmart: How long do points last?

Walmart associates don’t accumulate points continuously throughout their time with Walmart.

In order to ensure fairness and allow for unexpected obligations or emergencies, associates’ points are reset every six months.

In addition, authorized absences are not counted in the points system. Walmart workers don’t have to fear about losing their jobs if they miss five shifts or more in a 6-month period.

Associates will only receive three points if they are absent unexpectedly during Holiday shifts. This is according to Walmart’s point system.

They will be awarded one point for absences that occur during normal trading hours. Walmart considers an absence to be working less than 50% of a schedule shift.

An associate could be given up to five weeks leave depending on their absence.

Or, they could be absent from one holiday shift and two standard shifts. You can also terminate them if you are unintentionally absent for two holiday shifts.

How To Clock In At Walmart?

Walmart employees must clock in using the GTA Time Clock app regardless of how late you arrive at work.

GTA Time Clock apps users only need to sign up with OneWalmart. Users will have to input a unique password and user ID to confirm their identity.

They can then click on “Clock In,” to start their shift. They can also choose the appropriate “Clock Out”, “Meal End”, or “Meal Start” options if they already have a clock in.
