Why Not Just A Waterproof Phone Case?
Some new phones have waterproof capabilities. The IP68 rating of models like the Pixel 4 or iPhone 11 Pro means they are waterproof. They can also be wet, and can even be submerged in fresh water for a short time. However, this only applies in cases of accidental drops and is not intended to last long underwater. You don’t need that. You can use a waterproof case to keep your smartphone safe if you plan to spend a lot of time in the water. These are some important points. The best cases can only be used with light water. Water pressure can be very powerful in nature. A case that is just a little bit too expensive could burst its seals. Some claim to be able to survive several dozen feet below the surface, but how much are you willing to trust a $10 plastic bag from a company with a name like TotallySafeCazesExtreme?
These should be considered insurance, not an underwater tool. It’s worth spending money on something that can take great underwater photos of friends or pets, such as the one listed above.

Flashes with flash are useful to add white light to dark areas, especially if the subject is very close. Some have an optical zoom, which could have its uses.
